August 29th, 2010Pets AdviceYou must be very painstaking about your efforts to potty train a dog or it can be difficult work.
Dogs are simple to teach and it takes only a little work to house trains them. These are a couple hints that I hope will help you if this is your problem.
When young dogs don’t consume food, they don’t have to poop. I wouldn’t say not to let your dog have food. It’s the opposite of saying that when you don’t let them consume food, they don’t poop.
Get a planned time to feed your little dog. Puppies need to be fed two times a day. Thirty minutes later, go outside with them for a walk.
A feeding time is imperative. Doing this allows the dog to get on a schedule and he will be ready to poop when you take him out.
You have to be sure your dog isn’t peeing inside while you house train your dog. Maybe you shouldn’t give him water.
Just joking! That would not be nice. Little dogs need to go out every 3 to 4 hours. As they grow they can hold their urine better.
As he gets older, you can walk him every 5 hours. Soon, they will be able to work around your plans and not pee in the house when your not there
Regardless of the fact that you have some pointers, it is common knowledge that he may still have some accidents inside while you train him.
When they are young, you must see them in the process to scold them.
If you are away working all day and come home to any amount of pee by the back door, you shouldn’t scold them or make them put their nose in it.
You don’t know when they did it and they might not remember doing it if it was hours ago.
So, they won’t know why they are being disciplined. When this happens, clean up the urine and keep taking them out when they are used to being taken out.
